Depression

We can all feel low spirited, miserable, sadness and fed up. These are understandable reactions to upsetting or stressful events and experiences, it is also normal to experience them for no reason at all. If they persist, they can be signs of depression.

Common symptoms including lack of motivation, difficulties in concentration, pessimism, sleep disturbances, irritability, tearfulness, suicidal thoughts, social withdrawal, changes in appetite, loss of sex drive and lack of enthusiasm and pleasure.

Depression is an illness, not a sign of weakness. Left untreated it can develop into clinical depression.
